The man the myth the legend “Destructo”, also known as Gary Richards, returns back to Arizona on the 22nd of this month to unleash some new tunes and vibes. Gary will be performing at Tempe’s newest college venue, Sunbar, which is bringing back the underground for music. Goldrush was the last time we saw the HARDfest creator come through and slay the western town as well as his sold-out show last year at Shady Park featuring J. Worra. To this day, it still holds up as one of the best shows Shady Park has ever thrown. If you’ve missed both performances, the 22nd of this month is your chance to redeem yourself for a night in the books.
Fast forward to right now, Gary Richards still holds true to his G sounds of house and techno. He recently released “Loaded” feat Yo Gotti, with a collection of artists on the remix compilation such as Walker & Royce & SQWAD; who’s quickly starting to make name for themselves in the recent months. Destructo has strongly helped shape and compliment this new wave of house & techno music that is currently sweeping the nation. This is bringing house music closer to the forefront since its birth back in the early 80s.
The “Twisted Tour” kicked off in Chicago continuing with the east coast early February. This weekend Destructo makes appearances in Seattle & Tempe, making way for Destructo’s Sunbar debut. Then, he finishes off his tour on the west coast with San Fransisco and Denver being the last visits. About one month later you can grab yourself another performance from the AMF founder at this year’s Ubbi Dubbi festival through April 18th – 19th as well as Sunset Music Festival during Memorial Day weekend. We anticipate seeing what Destructo creates as the decade progresses.
