Since the legalization of marijuana in late 2018 occurred in Canada, it has become one of the biggest trending topics to hit the US and Canada but more importantly what it means to festivalgoers that attend Canadian events. Montreal's Îlesoniq Festival will be one of those festivals to pioneer the carry and consumption on marijuana within their festival doors.
The bill includes Marshmello, Above & Beyond, Bad Bunny, Nicole Moudaber and tons more, the event will take place at Parc Jean-Drapeu on August 9th, but the information regarding the marijuana policy will be one that you will want to pay close attention to.
With a statement already in place via twitter, Îlesoniq allows attendees to carry up to 30 grams of marijuana, while the sale of cannabis is still punishable by law, festivalgoers can now enjoy the freedom to experience their favorite acts while also consuming their favorite strains without the worry of hiding it from security.
You can't bring bongs or Tupperware though, it all has to be sealed.
Legalization has come a long way, but we hope that this will inspire other festivals with similar marijuana policies to start implementing the new view with cannabis at events.
